Taylor's Birthday Weekend

Yesterday was Taylor's 24th Birthday!! Saturday we went to dinner at the RAM in Fishers before heading out with friends in Broad Ripple. We had such a blast all night. Happy Birthday Taylor!!!

Sunday Ryan and I had to pick up my car in Broad Ripple. We decided to take a walk on the Monon and stop for lunch at the Monon Food Company. We sat outside and watched everyone passing by on such a beautiful, sunny day. The food was really great, and I would definitely go back. The rest of the day Sunday we went to look at bikes and watched basketball.

Hope everyone has a great week!! xoxo

Relaxing Fall Weekend

This weekend Ryan and I had a lot of fun, not doing much of anything. I was glad we didn't have a schedule and didn't need to get much done around the house, especially because Ryan leaves tomorrow to go to Dallas for the rest of the week.
Friday after work I met Ryan at Brebeuf where he reffed his last regular season high school football game for the year. The weather was perfect and it was fun to watch him. Well, until about half time when I decided to head out and meet up with some friends. I went over the the Dunn's new house to hang out with them and the Mays. Ryan met us after his game, and we had some drinks around the bonfire. We then found our way to the hot tub, which felt amazing and was so relaxing! It was great getting to catch up with everyone.

Saturday morning Ryan and I got up and went to Starbucks before our counter top search. We went to a few different places and I think we now have a good idea of what we want. We haven't bought anything yet, but we came close. We went to a granite warehouse and got to see the huge slabs as well as remnants that were really neat. After a few hours of this we found ourselves sitting outside at Muldoon's with a cold beer and 9-layer dip. It was just so nice out, we had to be outside. We finished up our snack and walked around downtown Carmel, stopping at Joe's Butcher shop and of course Huddles! About 2:30 we decided to head back home and watch the Hoosiers! After the game we worked out, made dinner, and then got ready to go out downtown. It was our first time at Sensu, and it was really fun. I'm still trying to decide if we liked it because we didn't have to pay cover, we didn't have to pay for our drinks, and we had a VIP booth all night, or if we would go back without all of these perks? It's a great place to dance and I'm sure would be a blast with a bunch of friends.

Cheers!

Sunday I woke up early to pick up Bentley from PupTown. Taylor & Kyle had a wedding in Columbus and had to board him Saturday night. Ryan had to coach at St. Luke's Sunday so Bentley and I enjoyed another nice day and went for a walk at Heritage Park. We got home just in time to watch the Colts game, even though it was pretty disappointing. Ryan and I went to Taylor & Kyle's for dinner and then we all went to our volleyball game later that evening. We won all 3 games, and are on a 9-0 roll : ) Next Sunday is the tournament. Hope everyone else had a great weekend and got enjoy this amazing weather!!

A Much Needed Weekend Off!

After working everyday for an entire month, this weekend I had two days off in a row, Saturday & Sunday! This was much needed to recharge for this crazy week of Championships. Friday night Ryan and I went to Sullivan's for dinner. The service and atmosphere could not have been better, but the food could have been. The food was pretty good, but didn't compare to Ruth's Chris or St. Elmo's. I did have the best martini though, it was made with clementine vodka : )
Saturday I went to the gym really early so I could get things done all day. I cleaned the house and attempted to get caught up on laundry. Ryan and I also ran some errands and went to Costco. Saturday evening my parents came to Indy and we, along with Taylor & Kyle, went to dinner at Peterson's.

We were celebrating my birthday because we wouldn't be able to this weekend or next week. The atmosphere was just okay, and the food was good, but because so many people hyped it up and we were expecting everything to be amazing, it wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be. I'm glad we got to try it, we have been wanting to forever now, but I probably don't need to go back, especially for the price, I prefer Ruth's Chris. After dinner we all went to Bella Vita and some cocktails and listened to the band playing. They were so fun and played great music. It made for a perfect Saturday night.

Sunday Ryan and I went to church, got lunch, and ran some errands before our team party. We had our volleyball team over for dinner before our tournament last night. It was so much fun, and so was the tournament because WE WON! Champs : ) We start up a new league already this Sunday, but decided we needed to move up from the Recreational League for some better competition.
Hope everyone else had a great weekend! This is going to be a crazy work week, but after this Saturday night at about 2:00am, work is going to be back to the normal 8:30am - 5:00pm until next Summer.

Everything Gets HOTTER When The Sun Goes Down

Friday night Kenny Chesney came to Verizon Wireless Center and it was an amazing concert. We were with a great group of friends and just had a blast! The weather was a bit chilly for the end of June, but with a jacket it was the perfect night. Billy Currington and Uncle Kracker also performed Friday night, but Kenny stole the show.

Saturday was pretty nice too and we were outside in the yard most of the afternoon. We actually got a lot done Saturday, and how could I forget we were dog sitting Kobe for my parents from Wednesday to Sunday! Kobe loved being outside Saturday and playing in the water shooting out of the hose. We went on a few walks too, and I think he was happy we were leaving for dinner Saturday night because we had wore him out. Taylor & Kyle came over and we had a drink then headed to Ruth's Chris for dinner...YUM! We met my Aunt Patty & Uncle Wayne and our Cousins Ryan, Sean, & Grace. Our three hour dinner was perfect for catching up with everyone, and we couldn't have had a better time.

Sunday we got up early to get all of Kobe's belongings packed up so we could take him back to Lafayette, even though we didn't want him to leave! We met my parents at their house and got ready for a golf scramble at the Elks. My Mom & Dad asked Kyle & Ryan to be on their team, and Taylor & I were quite offended they just left us out...so we made our own team. Taylor, Me, Tom, & Jay = BlumBalls. We weren't the best team but I think we had the most fun out of everyone that played that day. Taylor & I weren't awful and our team actually used some of our shots. We finished 6 under, and Ryan, Kyle, My Mom & Dad finished 10 under, and the winning team was 13 under. We did win something though...BlumBalls won the random $200 drawing : ) After we were finished we had to all rush back to Fishers to play in our sand volleyball league. We played at 8:00 pm and were so tired, but we did win! We actually stayed until after 10:00 pm playing pick-up, which probably explains why I fell asleep after I showered, as soon as my head hit my pillow.

Lovin Kenny!

We had such a fun weekend, and this holiday weekend we are going to the Lake Erie for the 4th. My Mom & Dad are coming too. I can't wait for cooking out, cocktails, boating, and lounging at the pool. Hope everyone had a fun & safe July 4th weekend!

Lazy Weekend

Rain, Rain go Away! This past weekend we stayed home, but we were unable to get things done we had planned on doing because of the crummy weather. A couple weekends ago we worked on landscaping the front yard, and this past Saturday/Sunday we were going to do the back, but the rain put our plans on hold.
Friday night Ryan and I went to dinner at Fire by the MONON with my cousin Emily, and her husband, Ben. The food was so fresh, it was awesome. The restaurant has only been open for about 5 weeks, and I definitely recommend it. I want to go back because there are about 8 more things on the menu I want to try! After dinner we met a couple of friends at Bella Vita for a few drinks, which turned into a few more and a few more haha..but we had a great time. Saturday morning I went to spin and Ryan went to play basketball. We wanted to work on the yard or go to the pool but none of that happened. We cooked a big brunch and watched golf most of the afternoon. That night we grabbed a quick bite to eat and then went over to Taylor and Kyle's to play games. We planned on going to a movie or bowling but ended up just staying at their house.
Sunday once again was rainy, so I went shopping at Nordstrom and to have lunch with Taylor while Ryan went to the gym. I got some things done around the house, but we found ourselves laying around watching the U.S. Open all afternoon dozing in and out of naps. That night we played in our first sand volleyball game of the season..it was a Blast! The league is at Pinheads in Fishers on Sunday nights. We ended up sticking around and playing until 10:30 pm. and passed out when we got home. Needless to say we didn't have the most exciting weekend, but it was fun to not have much of a schedule, especially because we have a lot planned the next few weekends. Hope everyone had a good week, and stays dry.

Mini Weekend

This past weekend was finally the Indy Mini Marathon. Friday morning Megs and I went over to the Expo to pick-up our race packets. Later that day I met my parents at our hotel, the JW Marriott, to check in. Then we headed over to the Expo to pick up my dad's race packet and bought some goodies. We had dinner at High Velocity, in the JW, and Kyle & Ryan were able to meet me and my parents. Ryan had been gone all week for work in New Hampshire. Our dinner was just okay...We all went to bed early and were excited for race morning!
We woke up about 5:30 am Saturday morning and did what we needed to do before the race started. Luckily our hotel was right at the start line, so we didn't have to walk far, and we could wait in the warm hotel lobby for a little while. We all started in different corrals, but Ryan and I were together in corral K. It took us over 11 minutes to actually get to the start line, but then we were off!
My goal was to finish in 2 hours and 20 minutes, and at the same time thinking I would be really disappointed if I ran 2 hours and 30 minutes. I hadn't done to many long runs before the race, so I wasn't quite sure where exactly I would finish. Ryan and I ran the entire race together, except for my bathroom break at mile 2, but by the end of mile 4 I had caught back up with him. Running together gave both of us just the motivation we needed at different times during the race. I think Ryan struggled the most in the beginning and was doubting himself, and telling me to slow down. My miles 9 through 11 (right when we exited the track) were the toughest. We ended up finishing together in 2 hours and 16 minutes! We were both really happy with our results, and felt so accomplished. I couldn't believe how well Ryan ran, especially because the only training he did was an 8 mile run with me a couple months ago. Although I'm not sure why I would ever question his ability, because he seems to be good at every sport he tries!
After the race we met my family, the Pearls, and the Cates at the spot we had planned. It started raining, so we all Slowly hobbled back to our hotel to shower up. Afterwards we drove up to Champps for some lunch and celebratory beers : )
Once the rain cleared, it turned out to be such a nice day. Dusty Beane was in town so he came by, and we sat out back at our house and had a few more beers. Ryan May(who also ran the mini), Tiff, Taylor, and Lauren joined us out back also. Once everyone left Ryan went to Arni's for pizza and salads. By the time we got home it was around 10:00 pm, and we were more than ready for bed. We slept for over 12 hours!
Sunday was also such a beautiful day. Ryan and I went to breakfast at A2Z Cafe (it was just okay), then I ran errands and Ryan did a lot of yard work. It was nice to have Sunday to just hang out and get things done around the house. I hope everyone had a great Mother's Day weekend.

We Finished!

I'm so excited that this is a short work week for me. Early Thursday morning my Mom, Taylor, & I leave for California to spend a long weekend with my Nana. After running last Saturday, our spa day Thursday is going to be even that much better!

Our Easter Weekend

We had a very relaxing Easter Weekend this year! Because we got to see both of our parents just last weekend, we decided not to travel, and just spend the holiday enjoying each other here in Fishers. Friday night we had a little date and went to Maggiano's for dinner. It was Good Friday, so we shared the tilapia, which was so good! After dinner we came home and watched Due Date, Hilarious!! Then we watched the Lakers win : )
Date Night
Saturday we got up early and went to the gym. Afterwards we met the Cate's at Jason's Deli. It is our favorite for lunch, and we got to hang out with Claire!! That evening we went to Sean & Lindsy's for Luke's 1st Birthday Party. Luke was adorable, and so big since last time we saw him. It was great to see so many of our friends. They had awesome food, and we played drinking games for most of the night....what else would you expect from an Edmo Party?
Luke's 1st Birthday
Easter day we went to Mass at our church, St. Louis de Montfort. We love this church, and the service was great. Once we got home Ryan made us some breakfast, and I started on our Easter meal. It was my first time cooking for a holiday, so I was kind of glad it was just for Ryan and me. I made a ham, of course, and roasted red potatoes, baked beans, homemade mac n' cheese, applesauce, and brussels sprouts with bacon. It actually could not have gone more smoothly, and I surprised myself on how easily I finished everything at the same time. Ryan approved of everything I made, so I was happy! I hope everyone else had a great Easter, and has a good rest of the week : )
Happy Easter!!

Happy Birthday TAYLOR!!

Friday was Taylor's 23rd Birthday, and we had fun celebrating all weekend long! Friday night Ryan and I met Taylor and Kyle for dinner at Bone Fish. It was so good, like always. Then we went back to their apartment for GiGi's cupcakes (not quite as good as Flying Cupcakes) and milk. Saturday Ryan and I got so much done, and had a productive day before we met my parents, Taylor, Kyle, and Kristin at the bar in Cooper's Hawk to watch the Butler game. We had a great meal, and what made it even better was a Bulldog victory! After dinner we met back up at Taylor and Kyle's for some cocktails before heading to Broad Ripple. We had the best time at Rock Lobster with good friends. Taylor, hope you had a great birthday weekend!! LOVE U!

The Weekend

I had a really great time this past weekend! Friday night I got caught up on a lot of things around the house (not so fun), but Saturday got better. My parents came down to do lunch. We ate at Chatham Tap in Fishers, so my Dad and Kyle could watch the Purdue game. Later that afternoon Taryn came in to town to stay with me. I hadn't seen her in 4 months, since the wedding! Tiffany and Amber came over too and we got to catch-up and get ready for the night. We had a girls' dinner at Cooper's Hawk Winery, one of my favorites! It was the four of us, and Alicia and Stephanie as well. We had great food and drinks, and enjoyed catching-up with each other. Next we went to Amber's house in Broad Ripple for some cocktails and drinking games, before we headed to the bars. We went to Brothers for a few drinks, and then ended our night at Rock Lobster. I had so much fun with the girls, and can't wait to plan our next weekend : )

Sunday morning we all woke up and went breakfast at Le Peep, to see Ryan May. Breakfast hit the spot, and afterward we went home to enjoy a lazy Sunday. Bentley stopped by, and Taylor and I took him for a long walk around the neighborhood, because it was actually nice out.
Love a Lazy Sunday with BentDog
I'm looking forward to next weekend just as much. John Reese is coming to stay with us, and we have a lot things planned, including our Super Bowl Party!

As of Lately...

I haven't posted in a while, other than Bentley pictures. Both our parents came to Indy to celebrate Ryan's birthday. We then had a really good Thanksgiving in Cleveland, and we also had a blast at the IU vs. PU game. The Mays through a wonderful tailgate with plenty of jello shots : )

This weekend we had a dinner at Ruth's Chris because our scouts are in town. Saturday morning Ryan met them all to play basketball at IUPUI, and that night we went to Bonefish, our favorite!! I was a good last weekend with Ryan, before he left for work training. Last night my mom came down and we went to the Nordstrom Card Holder Event. It was really fun, we had wine, dinner, and we did a lot of shopping. We also got to hang out with Taylor. Mom spent the night, and after the event Taylor brought Bentley by to play with us for a little while. We had a ball!!

We got to sit outside for lunch in November!

We had Mexican and really good margaritas for lunch on Ryan's birthday
