Thankful

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and I can not wait to spend the long weekend with family and friends. Family and friends are definitely what I am most thankful for. I have been truly blessed with great people in my life. Today we are going to Cleveland to spend the holiday with my in-laws. I haven't been to Cleveland since June and I can't wait to get back and see Ryan's family. I always feel like I am at home there. Tonight we will go out to the bars and also get to see all of our friends from Cleveland, who we have not seen since the wedding, and some even longer. Thursday morning Ryan is playing in a "Turkey Bowl" and then his whole family will come over for Turkey dinner. Friday we are planning on getting up early for Black Friday shopping! We will then travel back to Lafayette to spend time with my family, and Saturday is the Old Oaken Bucket Game! I am looking forward to tailgating with friends. GO HOOSIERS!

How are you all spending Thanksgiving?? However you celebrate, hopefully you will be surrounded by people you love. Take time to reflect on everything and everyone you are thankful for and let them know.

I love this quote:
-- Blessed are those that can give without remembering and receive without forgetting.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Trick or Treat

We had a great Halloween Weekend this year!! Friday night Taylor, Kyle & Bentley came over to carve pumpkins. We had a good time: Beer, Whiskey, Country Music, and Pumpkin Carving in the garage.

Saturday night we got all dressed up to go out with our friends. We went to Taylor & Kyle's for dinner. Then we got in our costumes and had some cocktails and played games. We then all went to Rock Lobster in Broad Ripple to meet up with everyone.

Sunday was Halloween Day. Ryan and I cleaned and watched football for most of the day. We were getting really excited for that evening though, because it was the first Halloween in our new house, and we couldn't wait for all the Trick or Treaters to ring the door bell! Taylor & Kyle came over too. Each time the door bell rang Bentley helped me greet the kids and pass out candy. We had a blast!

Taylor and Kyle finally got a dog!! They got a goldendoodle puppy named Bentley, that I just love!! So now Ryan and I have a nephdog. He is the cutest little guy in the entire world! I love babysitting him, and teaching him to walk on his leash : )

Bentley had enough walking, he cried until I carried him the rest of the way home..

♥♥Huge Update♥♥

The wedding finally happened, and we are already back from our honeymoon and starting to get in the swing of things as a married couple!

Ryan and I would first like to thank everyone who came to support us on our wedding day. We seriously could not have asked for a more beautiful and perfect day. To us everything was absolutely amazing and went better than planned! We hope all of our guests had as great of a time as we did, and again thank you all for everything!!
Below are some pictures that family and friends took at the wedding. If you would like to see/order any of the pictures our photographer took, you can do so at www.photosbyjenniferonline.com Just click on Mr.&Mrs Marando, and enter the passcode: katelyryan

Not only was our wedding amazing, but we had the best time together in Mexico. We stayed at the Excellence Playa Mujeres, http://www.excellence-resorts.com/all-inclusive-resorts/playa-mujeres-mexico/playa-mujeres-mexico.htm
We would recommend this to anyone! The service was top-notch and there was always so much to do, or not if you wished. The first couple days we relaxed by the pool and ate and drank a lot at the 8 restaurants and 11 bars at the all-inclusive resort. Later in the week we spent a morning at the spa for a hydrotherapy tub circuit and a couples message followed by champagne and chocolate strawberries, Heaven : ) Everyday we played beach volleyball and at noon we would get funky monkey drinks made of pineapples. At the end of the week we got adventures and went zip lining and road ATV's. It was the nicest vacation I have ever been on, and we already decided we are going back in 2 years! Here are some pictures from our honeymoon.

Name Change

Since the wedding I have been changing my name on everything from my drivers license to my gym membership. So I thought my blog should get a new title as well: Marando Life

Wedding Update

10 Days til we say "i Do"!!!!!!

Next Saturday is the big day, and I can not wait! It will be so nice to have all of our friends and family in town for a weekend to celebrate with us.

Yesterday Taylor helped me to get our programs and menus completely finished and printed. Ryan and I also spent time meeting with our DJ to go over the timeline of the big night. Tomorrow I head back to Lafayette for my second, final dress fitting (the last one wasn't quite so final as I thought it would be). Then when I get back to Indy we are going to get our marriage license. I just finished the seating chart and final head count today (so happy that is done). Friday we pick up our rings from Reis-Nichols and our new dining room furniture gets delivered : ) Saturday we are relaxing and doing no wedding work!! We are having a garage sale all day -- come see us!! Then my grandparents from California are coming to see our house along with my parents. We are going to grill out and watch the IU football game.

Then it's wedding week! I am trying to get as much done as I can this week, so next week will just be finalizing details, and it will allow us to relax and spend time with family and friends.

I have a feeling these next 10 days are going to fly by.

22 Days until the wedding! We have been so busy with last minute details, work, weddings, the house, and spending time with family and friends. I wanted to post some pictures though, from the past couple weeks. Hope you enjoy, and can't wait to see everyone in 3 weeks : )
